first check the pitch settings
check the throttle arm is on the carb correctly and in the correct positon
then check the pitch and throttle curves
if fitted make sure the governor is set correctly
check that the clutch is not slipping
check that the auto hub one way bearing is ok
correctly set the fuel mixture

once this has been done
you can increase the head speed by increasing the throttle curve points and lowering the pitch curve points

if it's like mine the clutch liner came un-glued in the clutch bell
not the best thing to happen 1/2 way through a loop (i saw the liner fly out)

What Engine is it?

Do you have the right gear ratio

Do you have the full closed and open carb settings right with the trim all the way down when closed in conjuction with throttle stick on transmitter

What condition was the clutch in, was a used clutch

What are your needle settings on the carb mid and high If you deem your self to be in a rich setting on the high speed start leaning it out 2 clicks at a time and then test

Have you checked the glow plug

These a just a few things to get started!

Good Luck

its an os70 in it. i put raptor 90 because there wasn't an option for a 60. there isn't a gov. on it yet. next month i'll get that.

the cluch liner has about 4 flights on it now. i baught it used and the clutch was shot and just got around to getting it running again.

the throttle servo and settings were all set up by lhs. or at least checked from the previous owner's settings.

i put a new glow plug in it when i did the clutch.

when i got it going, i leaned out the idle screw a little, but the mid and high needles don't seem to be running to rich. (at least to me and my friend. he has been flying 90's for years now, i've been in the electrics for ease)

the gear ratio i would assume would be right being a 60.

it responds well to my inputs... but everything seems way to slow. (head speed and cyclic response)

would a gov. help all of this? it would sure be nice to have on there. i am used to my 450v2 being so quick. i know its not going to be the same. thats a given... but i think it should have a lot more punch in it than it does.

check the number of teeth on the pinion gear , it should be 10, it should also have the std grey main gear (the red one is the tail drive), if it has a white main gear swop it for the grey one

the 450 electric will be quicker and more responsive to the controls
get your friend to fly it to find out his opinion(yes it will have less power that the 90)

Question!~!! you did glue your clutch liner in right? and properly?
I always wrap the clutch with exactly 2 wraps of electrical tape and then insert it into the freshly glued clutch liner assy to get proper clearance
