I was doing some test flying on my TT E620 yesterday evening. It is in scale AS350. I was doing some basic hovering, side to side easy stuff as I was checking my new canopy securing method. Towards the end of the flight (maybe 4 minutes)all of a sudden the tail jerked about 4 inches and then back. Did it two times in about 8 seconds. I immediately set it down with a soft landing as I was only hovering about 4 feet high. I looked it over good and then spooled it back up, took it up to about 2 ft and it twitched again.

I have flown this helicopter probably 30 times. Never had a accident(knock on wood). I have made no mechanical or TX changes since I last flew with no problems. The setup is as follows:

Futaba 611 Gyro with S9256 tail servo
CC 110HV ESC
Align 3AMP BEC
Spektrum AR7000

Just wondering what would cause this all of a sudden?

Has the gyro been re-secured?

I've had to double pad the tape under my gyro on the TREX 500.

Not on the 450 for whatever reason.

Check your pack voltage. It could be prematurely draining possibly due to motor bearing going. It sounds like a low voltage cutoff kicking in.

Then again, low voltage cutoff would be constantly twitching the tail not after 8 sec. Is the pack voltage lower than normal?

Too tight of a rap on the gyro can do it too.

I did not remove or reattach the Gyro sensor. Nothing has changed with that.

The low voltage scenario has peaked my interest. I will need to go home and see what the voltage is on the battery as I have not recharged it yet. The RX battery was fully charged to begin with and showed full charge when I turned it off. My flight battery I was using is a FP 8S 3700mah battery. Basically new in terms of flight life. I have my timer set at 4 minutes. When I landed it the timer still had 30 seconds to go. I did not even think that I had gone to long on the battery because I was just basically hovering back and fourth. BUT it was i little windy and I had some wind dancing (pushing down on the helicopter, then up hard). The more I think about it I think it could be the voltage cutoff.

This helicopter is so incredibly smooth it is almost scary It spools up so smooth and quite it just makes me smile each time it starts up and lifts off I think that is why I am so freaked out with this little hiccup. If I was to compare it to my Trex 600e and use a car anology, it would be like driving a Mercedes S550 vs Ford Tempo.

CC's new firmware will make that HV110 spool up more like a turbine. They have not worked out all the bugs but it works as well as the previous one plus it now allows you to set the rpm.
