I was using the Evo 25 5s 3700s in parallel which gave me about 5-6 minutes of flight time.

3500 to 4500 MAH should be about right. With 10s you have to compare battery weights so it does not get too heavy. Some brands are way heavier than others for the same capacity. Personally I like a 8s 4200 setup the best for 3D.

All things generic, what does the average amp draw drop to with a 10S system. I routinely get about a 45 amp average on 6S over a five minute flight. I know you can still get high amp spikes on either set up but on average what does a 10S do to reduce amps. That to me let's me know what size battery to get.

I don't know what the amp draw on 10s drops to but I guess somebody will jump in.

Ben, what flight times you getting on that 8s set up and what motor you got in there?

anyway I believe that a 3500mah pack would be about right for 10s.

I have a tango 45-08 on 10s using 2 5s 3700mah flight power batteries in series. I get 6 1'2 in of heavy sport and some mild 2d. Anything crazier than that around 5 - 5 1/2 min. With those batteries on the front tray laying parallel to the shaft, the 2s 2100mah rx batt in rear of heli on the bottom tray, and a metal tail it balances perfect. Couldn't tell you the current draw as I have no logger.

I have always wanted to try a Tango motor.
How warm does it get?
Does it fit the stock frame without modifications?

The motor stays between 116-130f. Haven't took any temps during the hot days of summer, though it doesn't feel much hotter. The motor fits in without modification to the frames! I really like this motor and setup a lot. It's got plenty of power. There seem to be some very high quality bearings in these motors too. I have yet to be disappointed
