Just wondering whats the consensus for paddles?

I'm running the stock JR paddles with no weight in them or on the flybar. To me they seem to work fine but it does seem a little twitchy so tonight I added a small chunk of lead in each one and will see if I like that better.

I have used 4 types of paddles: stock JR, Super Stubz, Align 3k paddles and V's. Out of all 4 the Align 3k's have been the best match for aggressive flight without being overly pitchy.

I've been meaning to try the Aligns but nobody has them in stock.

I had the V's on at one time until one of them flew off. I don't really care for their design as far as mounting goes. Its seems like the hole is a little big and the threads aren't really biting into the paddle.

I only tried the superstubz (without weights) and the Vs. The Vs are a little slower but improve tracking accuracy by 100% over the stubz which I found being excellent for stick banging in a 30x30 feet box but not so fun in wide open maneuvers.

I can't remember how my V's handled but I do remember I liked the way it flew with them until one blew off.

Why doesn't anyone run the stock paddles? Have you tried them or just figured their going to suck so why bother?

IMO - Paddles have a huge effect on flying characteristics, and work in conjunction with your main blade choice. So why throw an unknown in there. In addition, I don't know of any heli that is known for its stock paddles? (I could be wrong here.)

Thats 50% me and 50% the heli. Can't blame it all on the heli LOL.

Scott, what are you doing over on the Vibe page, get back over with your Align buddies or suck it up and get a Vibe. I know you want one.

I am using Super Stubz, Rolls and Flips great, but a hand full in hover and forward flight......Waiting for a new set of V paddles. Seem to be sold out every where.

Are the super stubs more sensitive around center? I'm flying the stock paddles with no weight and 2000hs with 8deg cyclic. I ended up using neg expo(jr) to tighten it up.

At least one nice thing about the stock paddles are the paddle stoppers (70500 on the Airskipper - 996157 on the Vibe50).

The Airskipper ones are a direct replacement for the soft aluminium stoppers on the V-paddles.

I prefer the Align's as well. Good flip/roll rate, great hover/forward flight. I think they are almost identical to the V's, just a little cheaper and mount better.
