What is the ideal setup for the 500 on servos, including the tail one?

9650 are great flyers, but don't crash em, they don't seem to hold up well, at least mine haven't. The metal gears help, but one of the servo pots just blew and I found it today before going flying.

Yea,

So if i can afford it 9257's all the way around?

Other wise 9650 mg's on cylcic, and 9257 on tail with 611 or 401?

I just really love the speed of 9257's. I think they are around the same price as the 9650 tho.

Hitec 5245 cyclic, futaba 9257 & 401 on tail, running on 6v. Tough, reliable, and fast enough for me.

Are you running a stepdown on the tail servo?

I am not and as a result have had to reduce the bec voltage to 5v the servo's are ok at this but a bit more torque and speed would be nice.

The nice thing about the 9257's is that they are crazy fast on only 5volts. They lack a bit in torque, but I'm sure it's ample for 500 sized heli.
