After a crash (and rebuild), I find a lot of play between the secondary gear and the pinion or may be between the two conical pinions. I recall having play before but not so much. Can this be adjusted??

it cannot be adjusted. I have seen this play as well. I also fond out that is you loosen the three screws in the back tail casing (one side) and retighten you can remove the noisyness that I had in mine, hit or miss may take a few times of loosening and tightening. as for the play between gears, you could try new gears. It doesn seem to show up in flight characteristics anyway.

(I think your asking about the two gears in the tail case ?)

a bit confussing my post: No, I am really talking about the front assembly; the secondary gear below the main gear and the pinion that engages with it, or it may be (the play) between the two conical pinions above this assembly. I am not sure where the play is... or if it can be adjusted...

I have the same problem. I have been flying my 600 for a year and it does not seem to affect anything. I did strip a few gears at first but I read a post for settings on the 611 gyro that JC suggest. I put those values in the 611 and no issues sense. The back lash or play can not be adjusted without cutting on the frame. You can look at the thread that I had and it might give you some information.

I suppose you resolved it setting up delay but should not be the way to go. Nylon gears should be set up without backslash at all.

I understood that there is no way to resolve it.

Thanks a million.
