I arrive in London on Sat 18 July & stay there for 4 days & drive up to Northampton to compete in 3DM on Wed 23.

This is my first time to the UK! What are the must see sights etc. to check out on those 4 days?? I'll be staying just north of Hyde Park.

Of course I'll be seeing the popular tourist spots like Tower Bridge, Big Ben, London Eye etc. But what else?? Wanna make the most of it!

Cheers!

Kev.

If you're into museums

Victoria and Albert
and
Imperial War Museum.

I loved them both!

yup the museums are a good look at history if you like that kinda thing. Not sure on your style but we went to harrods one afternoon and that is a good way to kill a couple hours. Kinda like a mall experience with all kinds of things to buy (food, clothes, books iirc). A tourists perspective of course, not sure how most natives feel about it.

Natural History Museum - full of great stuff.

You could drop into Duxford aircraft museum on the way to Northampton. They do good displays there as well.

The M25 - one of the biggest car parks in the world.

Good luck in the competition & look forward to seeing you fly

Imperial War Museum.
Duxford aircraft museum
Same places but a must see. It will take you all day if you want to see everything and there is A LOT to see.

But my personal opinion is to see nothing in London. I loved all the little towns and villages around there but didn't care for the "big city". If you want to see London get some postcards.

Hey, I was just told today that I'll be headed over that way in September. A week in Manchester and a week+ in Farnborough. WOOHOO!!

The only thing I can think about when I hear about the R101 is that Monty Python skit.
