Didnt see this thread until now.

I got a Mazda Rx3 1973 (precessor of 'redRX7'´s Rx7).

I´ve made a lot of mods:

13B with low compression(8.2:1), huge streetports, RB Agressor intake manifold, Garret T04E(.60.trim kompressor and 1.32 turbine housing) HKS wastegate, Huge intercooler etc.

The car has roll cage and 4link / Koni coil-overs with a volvo turbo rear axle and volvo ventilated front brakes.
Weight is 960kg race ready.

Dont know exact power, but I got 354hp @10psi on the wheels on dyno (could get the tires to grip more then that...had to lower the boost a lot to make them not slip on the rolls. Normal boost is about 17psi.
1/4mile: 11.3 @ 205km/h(127.5mph) on street legal M&H.

The car is 100% street legal in sweden, we have a possibility to make changes and register the car as 'changed vehicle'. So, I go to the annual (governemental) safety control in the same shape as I race it

Found out I dont have any pics in the computer of it...gotta fix that and add a pic of it later.

I have some small(very small) movies of some driving with it here:

Hey,

Thanks buddy. Yeah the colour was one of the first things which caught my eye with this car. Originally I was going to go for black which looks good on any car, but I was worried about how easily black shows up any marks, scratches & swirls etc.
My Fiancee and friends were trying to talk me out of having the Orange, but I am glad I went with what I wanted as there aren't many on the roads.

It is a very fun car to drive, the TypeS denotes a lowered and stiffened suspension similar to the TypeR's and so it handles really well.
Being a diesel it's not as quick as the TypeR but with 140bhp and 251ft.lbs of torque it certainly isn't slow either, the 6 speed manual gearbox helps keep the revs in the torque band.
A few have had them remapped to 190bhp and torque in the 490Nm range which would be fun

Thanks matey.
Over here in the UK there is a few different specs, I only concentrated on the TypeS and TypeS GT as they were the sportier versions.

The TypeS GT adds the glass roof panel, electric folding mirrors, cruise control, dual climate, alarm.
The wheels I have fitted were an option from Honda, the stock wheels are 17" but I wanted these 18" Blades as I think they look good. Not cheap at an £850 GBP's option but worth it.

If your in the market for a Honda Civic I'd say go for it, they did have their problems in the early 2006/07 cars but they've been fixed now.
A good website for the Civic is http://www.civicinfo.com, pop along and take a look.

I dont understand peoples fascination with little rice burners....anyways, my wife is German and likes Honda's too.

My rides are

1.) 1996 SVT Cobra Mustang Convertible

and

2.) 1996 Skyline GTS-T

Both are stock. Thats how I like them. I hope to upgrade to a GTR sometime within the next month or two.

I will post pics of the two cars when I find them.

I might not be able to fly well, but I can crash with the best of them.

Hey Paul,

Your Carrera seems to have turbo body work... is it one of the factory "turbo looks"?

Here's my 86 Turbo:

84 Jetta 1.6D non turbo, over 650.000 Miles and still in one piece. My daily driver. Still gets 55mpg and I mix my own fuel.... 50/50 with veggie oil from walmart. It has been highly modified. Put in an air freshener, 14" rims and K&N filter
Goes from 0 to 60 in about a minute if can reach it

No they don't cause they can't see it from the smoke. Built in stealth mode. Just floor it in any gear and they diassapear in the mirror.

She's just undergoing modifications to run on straight veggie oil.

Yes it is. It was one of 211 made in 1988 and is completely factory. It is one of the reasons I bought it. I only put about 500 miles on it last year & will probably be under 1000 this year so I should be able to keep it in great shape and keep the value up.

Like I said it is not screaming fast and doesn't have the growl of the turbo, but it is sure fun to drive. I test drove a Cayman a couple of weeks ago... That was pretty fun....

Cheers,

Paul

drove this for years until gas went over 3.00, sold it this spring to someone in new Zealand. made around 800hp at 16-17 pounds of boost from the 6-71 with two holley 750 hp's. It was great fun to blow off fast cars when in stealth mode, the hood fit over everything with out the scoop and they never saw it coming. have a 46 ford coupe to replace it, another long term project

My heli is right side up -- the world is upside down

It wasn't the fastest one I've owned but definitely the nicest and still fast enough to have a little fun. I had a white S13 that was stupidly fast for no apparent reason. All SR20DET motors of course I had a CBR600RR that really got it done in SOCAL when I lived there. If I have the need for speed now, I throw a leg over a quad or a dirt bike.

Finnaly got through reading all this thread - yup! some amazing 4 wheeled machinery...but

HEY MUTT! Was that your semi or a photo of the same model? Either way I do like that style of US truck, at least for on-road activity

This used to be my baby, until she got too rotten and the V8 blew (36 year old motor in a 25 year old car according to the engine number) I managed to get probably the only bad V8 engine over here

When I manage to get the money I WILL have another American car, especially old school, not much electronics, carburated, maybe go Mopar muscle car next time hehe, if I don't go first gen Pontiac.

BECAUSE

Cheers,
Tach.

Now thats a piece of history & brings out the child in me!
I so loved and still do enjoy watching Knight Rider!

They're remaking the Trans Am aren't they? I've seen pictures of a couple of variants in the theme of Smokie & The Bandit if I remember correctly.

Yep! Don't know what company is doing it, but they're marketing the 2nd gen T/A as the BANDIT
They take a good 2nd gen - strip it back to bare metal a la Overhaulin' then rebuild as new with a range of different engines - all V8s of course
