Uh, not what I see . . .

Check this thread: http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t443426p1/

Where the Wildcat Rep clearly states that 30% is still being made.

And I think you missed a part of what you were referring to:
Curtis 30% and Wildcat 30% Helimix are in good stock levels at Great Planes and Horizon. The run on fuel at the distributors had us temporarily out of stock but that has been resolved.
Note the "Has been resolved" . . . which implies pretty clearly that Wildcat also has stock . . .

Exactly, and like I said above, my LHS just got 40 cases from Wildcat with only a $2 per gallon price increase. There is no shortage.

The stock level at Gp and Horizon are up and down based on sales. We were in stock, then out, then in, ect.. We have more on the way. Most stores are getting what they ordered from the distributors but there is still some panic buying going on, which in turns depletes the stock levels faster than normal....we'll keep up...

Thank you Ej . You hit the nail right on the head describing margin and profit and saved me a lot of typing. Again Eury, Your statement is wrong when you say if you are paying more than 2 to 3 dollars a gallon you are getting ripped off.The price increase is not the same across the board for each company and like I said it depends from who and where you get it from. You clearly have idea what you are talking about. Maybe thats why you used to run a computer store. If you are paying 20 plus a gallon more I would agree with you but 10 to 15 and I am going to say I disagree.

Update: I called GP and Horizon about 4:30 pm NO 30% fuels available. Maybe late next month, but not promising.

Unfortunately, Jerry from Wildcat went back and edited the post, but he posted yesterday that a $10 per gallon increase on his 30% fuel is excessive. Probably so he wouldn't anger his dealers, but it was posted, and that's as much of an authority figure on this situation as you can get. Of course, that doesn't mean it's the same for CP etc, but I can't imagine that Wildcat has some huge inside line on materials that the others have.

That's fine. Like I said above, Someone is getting shafted. If it is the hobby shop by the supplier, or the customer by the hobby shop, it should be taken care of.

Almost sounds like wall street, everyone in the chain is looking to make money. In other industries like let's say petroleum the suppliers raise the wholesale prices when supply drops because they need (want)to make the same net dollar profit while moving less materials. However as I've already stated it's the retailer who gets the brunt of the complaints. I almost feel like going to my local gas station and maybe even hobby shop and making a donation to help them get thru this

If you order from Wildcat you get a case for around $95 + tax if applicable. You have to order at least 5 cases.

sure that aint a case? anyone that would pay that needs thier head examined and then a swift kick in the butt for being dumb to pay that rip off price.
I have 4 gallons left of glow fuel when its gone so are all my glow helis and glow planes its all gas for me. I refuse to pay these rip off prices set by the greedy people that are setting them.

Cheap %10 for our helis and airplanes is about $17 per gallon

If you only have to bend over once to pick it up it's a good landing.
