Predator/Wren is a fine blend. I would say 2 stage is a must, dead simple, no belts to shag off and just like the real thing.
The Predator is very underrated in my opinion. Well designed and made and really is low maintenance, engine removal is quick and painless and you don't have to strip half the heli to get it out, I've heard that on one particular heli you have to remove the engine to change the g/box oil - appalling!!
Bell Bloke's Predator/Wren must have done more hours than any turbine heli in the country and it is as new.
The Wren MW54 fits in beautifully and is so reliable. Don't get hung up about governors, you don't need one. With the new g/box there's no oil changes and you won't have to touch then engine for at least 60 hours, then you have the choice to send it back to Wren or O/H it yourself. I recommend to do it yourself, you get to know the engine better, it's very interesting and cheaper.
