Hmm.

With all our Logo problems, we may have just been swayed into a Trex.

Nah, the Trex600 isn't expensive enough to be a good AP platform. Everyone knows that, right?

Noobs,
U r the first in the list!

Derek,
Thank you im glad you like it.

Jason,
This is still the prototype of the Trex600 front mount chassis upgrade and the new CF23 Pan/Tilt/360 Roll camera mount, it is a new design with full 360 degrees roll capability. If this new mount design shows to be successful it will be prototyped later in a bigger size, but you know it all takes a lot of time and testing, heavier cameras require different tolerances so this might not work exactly the same for bigger payloads without mods.

Juan,
It will take another +-month to test it and finish it, this is still a proto.
Seems you got the balls! Will add also front and back hemispheres to the CF23 but Im not building the molds until all the mechanical tests are finished.

I just flew for Bungeemike this past weekend using his HCS mount under my play 700E and he was surprised how smooth it flew. Didn't even need any trim

:edit:
oh, I just noticed the custom aluminum lower frame plate! Very nice!

Looking good!!!!

I still have a concern with the 600mm head (spindle/main shaft). Is the T700n using the same head or a more beefier one?

Well with Aligns amazing ability to bring new models to market quick and the quality of product not an issue anymore, (I said it). I would think they would have a e700 out soon.

I keep asking myself why would Align go with bigger main shaft and spindle on the T700N if it wasn't needed? Yes, I fully understand that 3D flying is completely different then AP but still strength is strength. I guess this has to do with my days of stretching eRaptors and then seeing how much stronger a Mikado or Joker head is designed and built.

Either way I have a new found respect for Align again and I never thought I would have said that after the debacle of the early Trex 450's.

Guys

on align forum, said, they won't come out with an e700, at least not in the near future. They think not enough people wanted because of the price for battery. Only people wants a 90 size Electric are AP people and scale. 3D is their main target much, much more people.

I agree the 3D demographic is where the majority of sales are to be had. My thinking is that they already have everything for an e700 besides a new frame layout.

This is where I don't understand the reason for going with Align. A T700N kit is approx $790 then you have to add the cost of frame upgrade.

Why not just start with a high quality Mikado L6003d ($520) and buy a boom and belt and be done with it?

I'm sure the main reason is going to be part prices and availability. I mail order everything so its always in stock. I don't really see a need for replacement parts (besides parts that wear out) unless you crash. If you crash an AP ship most likely a new kit is going to be needed.

I'm totally bias because I like German engineering. I also have to admit the stuff that trackhead does with his "crappy" Trex (his quote, not mine) is amazing and makes me a believer in Align as not being a low quality heli like in the early days.
