Is it a vibration or a humming type noise?

If it is the latter, its the canopy. Take it off and hover the bird. If its gone, I was right and you need other screws (with larger heads) that rest only on the rubber inserts.

did you make sure the intermediate bearing support for the torque tube didn't move? Or you got it properly spaced according to the instructions? This is critical to avoid tail resonance.

First thing when I heard the noise was to take the canopy off . Noise was still there . Second thing was I checked the bearing to see if the glue let go , and the bearing is spaced 400mm from the front like the manual said . Third thing I did was to change the bearing to the Vibe 90 bearing and the noise was still there ? What should I do next ? the noise starts when the head speed get to 1720 and gets louder the fast the head speed is ? I think it still the tail drive . I'm going to check the run out of the shaft next ?

OFF

I know its not a VIBE but MY 600 T-rex dose the same thing and I have tried everything so if you find it let me know. I was thinking it was only the auto rotation gears making noise or the tail drive gears or bearings. May be no big deal but it drives you nuts or it dose me.LOL good luck

The alignment of the engines is critical for vibrations.

The symptoms are resonance/vibrations and lost of usable HP (power)
And extra combustion of clutch liner.

The engine installation needs to be 100% precise, concentrically and/or parallel in all axis.
(In other words the clutch bell and clutch needs to be 100% concentrically.)

Naturally the engine will align by its self.

Try to hover you heli with the motor base bolts just a little lose, this will align the engine naturally.

I had a high frequency vibration which was very loud when revving at a good had speed on mine which was causing the tail pushrod to vibrate right at the rear section, solved it by changing the stock blades for some SAB carbons. No vibes now and very quiet.

I am new to the whole torque tube deal but I have noticed that the tailrotor sounds quite different than a belt drive. Kind of a humming noise. This doesn't seem like an abnormal noise just different than what I am use too.
The last thing I can suggest is remove the complete tail assembly as one unit and check that everything is running smooth and reset the pinion gear mesh.
What I have learned if something was really wrong it would have broke early on.

So true

Gear mesh is something that will cause humming noise. Since the sound comes up quite early, have you removed the main and tail blades and spooled it up on the ground? as long as you don't over rev it (engage governor pls) you can be really close and hear from where the sound is comming and maybe this will help diagnose the problem? If I were desperate enough, I would even remove the boom and TT all together and spool it up and try to narrow down the noise.

Note: Don't be suprised to find some vibration while you inspect the bird because it will in ground ressonance so every hich will be amplified.

well the noise is better after I changed the tail blades to CY 92mm , but it is still there . I think at this point its just the noise the heli is going to make . I have over 10 tanks and it still flying

To add a few bits here. My vertical tail fin was vibrating big time and the tail felt loose.
I am using a hyper with a big bore carb and cline taken from a 90 engine. Stock tail blades having read about low gain issues, and a 720 gyro.
I was advised to LEAN the engine out as a rich setting (new engine) was a likely cause. Yesterday the engine was sagging under load and I blew a second glow plug. I RICHENED the needles from their 1 turn open settings of the 90 engine to TWO turns open. NOTE I started at 11/2 TURNS open with this engine as it is new.
Also I fitted Radix 95!!!!!!!!!!!! tail blades to replace the kit ones.

Okay it's not perfect but much better the gyro gain is at 80% and shows no signs of being too high so I plan on cranking it up further. With the CSM 720 vibrations normaly show the heli isn't running smooth.
With the new richer setting the tail vibes are much smaller or gone head speed depending.
FYI I run CY 30% FUEL and the needles are now 2 turns open on both the mid and high needles which is probably a bit on the rich side and very different from the 1 turn thy were about when useing this carb on a 9 C-spec.

I also wondered about leaving either the clutch stack bolts a little loose because of occasional clutch drag (old millenium/dyna x fix) or the lower plate bolts, and yes I did align it all carefully at the build stage but will wait a little longer while I get it dialed in.

The engine has a Hatori 522 fitted and the package shows a lot of promise. I like pressured regulated engine systems as the internals and fuel magnets seem much happier than with engines using muffler pressure plus the engine remains consistent
