I finally got my new Solid G gyro in and it is awesome. The only issue I have at the moment is my rudder control is a lot more sensitive so much that when I do turns that I used to be comfortable with are a little harder. So the question is should I just leave my settings along and just get used to it, or add some expo? If I add some expo should I do it in the gyro or on the transmitter?

Use expo from your tx. Less hassle IMO

I use a 30% expo and turned the rudder endpoints down to 85. The piro rate was pretty quick at 100/100 with the Solid-G.

This maybe a silly question, but when you are talking about the end points, are you talking about the ATV in the transmitter, or some settings in the Gyro.

The rudder endpoints in the transmitter. Should be channel 4.

you are looking for the atv setting turn rudder % down. that will slow down the piro rate.
hope that helps..

When I go flying next, I will play with these numbers. It is so nice to have a tail that lock in.

Yeah, the Solid-G is awesome. Blows the 611 out of the water IMO. It does feel a little different with zero deadband around center stick but I like the responsiveness of it. And the piro rates are 100% consistent.
