I've checked some old posts and the AvantRC forum but still can't seem to find some basic info. What is the gear ratio? How much does the Aurora weigh? Please no trolling posts. I would like to keep this thread as a place where people interested in the Aurora can get some questions answered.

Gear ratio is 8.25:1:4.9

Weights. Got these from the AvantRC/support site.
These numbers are a bit old. I understand these guys didn't have the latest and greatest set ups, such as Spartan gyros and voltage regulatorless power systems.

bob00: 9 lbs 15oz = 9.93 lbs = 4.50 kilogram
Chris W: 10 lbs 2 oz = 10.12 lbs 4.59 kilogram
ledfoot 10 lbs 3oz = 10.18 lbs = 4.62 kilogram

I would also like to know the weight of the bare frame and with average components installed. Also, do most people prefer 690s or 710s on the Avant head? What does the head measure blade hole to blade hole?

Everyone I hear posting says they like the 690's much better. And the head bolt to bolt is a little larger than most from what I undrstand!

I am going to try NHP 680's, 700's and V Blade 710's. Thats what I have, If I don't like them I will buy 690 V Blades. Although I'm not to crazy about the textured blades yet.
