Is it a good idea to use this rx for a Trex 450S, I'm about to change all my fleet to spektrum (I was using XPS but I keep reading on how bad is it, so I will not continue using it)

Or I should use the AR6200 that has the sattelite antenna?

I have the 6100 on my blade cp without issue. I use the 6200 on the trex without issue. I realize that doesnt help too much with your exact question but I will say that I am all for the added protection the satellite rx offers.

If you dont already have the 6100 sitting around, then I personally would buy the 6200. I know its 30 bucks more but youll never have to wonder if you should have bought it in the first place. -Karl

Im using the 6100e (endpin) on my TREX 450SE and its great. Much smaller than most FM/PCM receivers and tons cheaper too. Only $50.00 for the DSM2 Rx. I love it cuz its light weight and i have absolutely NO RF Problems...EVER!!!

Many guys that I know, think the AR6100E is great.

My reading concerning the XPS has me considering that its worst fault is that it doesn't provide everything the promotions say it will. I don't own one, and possibly never will, but the most noise on the net seems to be that there may have been lies told about its capabilities. My take is that the reports may average out to the XPS being no worse than the recent complaints (right or wrong) about Spektrum, particularly surrounding the T-Rex 500.

If you're going Spektrum (and I have), I fully believe you would be happy with the AR6100E, under maybe (that's a big maybe) 600-800 feet. If your "fleet" is only flown closer than that, I believe there is no concern.

For what it's worth, I have 6 of the 6100 receivers in TRex size helicopters, park fliers, and Electric ducted fans, and have been flying them since the DX7 came out. Not a single problem.

I've used the 6100 in Mini Titan and planks, use the 6200 in TRex 500 and larger. Have had zero problems.
