I have been using the new align 2 in 1 for a couple months now and have absolutely loved it. It has worked flawlessly. However, just the other day I simply changed the glow plug and now I can't get the engine to light? I took the plug out and grounded to the pipe to see that it does light up. I checked the voltage coming from the 2 in 1 and it came in at 1.5v, so I really don't know why it doesn't start the engine anymore??? I decided to try a standard ni-starter and it fired the engine right up??? And it only put out 1.27v?

Any ideas as to what is going on here? This one has me stumpted. BTW I tried putting the old glow puld back in that the 2 in 1 originally worked with, but it no longer started the engine???

Thanks!

If the voltage checks out as well as plug glows I'm not sure that it's a wire issue?

I still don't understand the connectivity issues if it passes the voltage test?

is the alligator clip or wire grounding against the engine? i had a similar issue with a TT remote glow. when i pulled the wire out to check voltage it was ok and then when i reinstalled it, it would get grounded.

If a single strand of wire is all that's left, Or a bad connection, a voltage check will still see proper voltage. But when you put it under a load (ie, try to ignite a glowplug) the circuit will break.

very true george0079 but he grounded the plug on the block and the plug lit so the circut must be carrying sufficient current. i'd like to see what fixes this as i plan on getting a 2n1 this weekend to replace my POS TT one

If there is a break in the wires, this could still be the problem. By moving the wire around, it could have made enough contact to light the plug.

The only reason I'm saying this, is beacuse I had this exact same problem with one of mine. It wasn't a manufacturer problem... It was my routing that caused it. The wires has broken inside the insulation, right where it was touching the frame.
