When and who is carrying the Logo 400,
is the Vbar a smaller unit or the same as the one people are using for the 500/600

I just sent a deposit for one to Esprit Models. I sent them an e-mail and asked them first. Won't be available until late June I think.

It's not out yet. I've heard the end of June. It has shown up on at least one German site for sale that I've seen but I couldn't tell if it was actually available from them yet (I can't read German). I can't wait until it does come out though because it will be my next Heli. When it does arrive I'm buying mine from http://www.espritmodel.com They are my LHS and really know what they are talking about and are super nice and helpful.

I am from Austria and my last info on the 400 is that it will be available at the end of June!

Many German shops have listed the Logo 400 but only for reservation!

I had a look at the Esprit Model website and saw that the 500 is about 200 USD cheaper than in Europe???????

I am two times a jear in Florida so I think I will buy my L400 from Esprit Models!

I noticed that too. I wonder if the 400 will be priced similarly? I certainly hope so.

I am thinking the heli alone will be $330 or so if it comes with blades. It shouldn't be much more expensive than a Logo 10. Hell, it should be less, but I don't know what all it will come with? Ball raced mixing arms? Alum swash?

Not to get too far off topic but related; does anyone have a thought about using an FP 6S 3700 in the logo 400? It weighs in at about 570g, which might be too nose heavy for a smaller heli swinging 430mm blades. The Trex uses 2500 mAh packs I think, but I have a couple of 3700's sitting here unused.

I think they might be a little large but could work. You would be able to get some nice run times. I was thinking of going with 3000MAH 6S Xcite batts (488 grams) or 4100MAH Xcite 5S (511 Grams) myself but don't know what yet.

Wonder how many people are on Esprit Models waiting list? I should be getting my motor soon, so I will have everything sitting here waiting for the heli. I sure hope it does come out in June!

I've been told we may see it in the UK in late June, no idea of cost though.

Apparently there are only 15 extra components to stock spares for the L400 over and above L500/L600 parts. I've just had a new set of blade grips for my L500 which came with 4mm blade mounting bolts but only holes and recesses for 3mm bolts - sounds like an L400 part to me.

I am conflicted now. Since no one knows when this thing is coming out or how much it'll be I've found myself considering the MSH Protos. This thing looks like an equally good heli if not better and comes with a motor and carbon fiber blades for $365 or so plus it's out right now. Anyone know if the 400 is coming with blades or if the motor/spd cntrl combo is gonna be available to us? I'm just chomping at the bit to get something bigger than my T-Rex. I wish I could afford both. Maybe I'll wait a little longer to decide. Aaaargh.

I have a Protos inbound, gonna use it until the Logo is released and then transfer the equipment to the logo.

Then I at least will have some fun waiting

Last I heard it was late June and pricewise about the same as other 500sized.

Do you think the Logo will be better than the Protos?

I also have an MSH Protos on order. The Protos should be much lighter than the L400, the Protos is very light for it's size with an aluminium main shaft amongst other weight saving features, the L400 uses the same basic head as the L500, I believe, which would make it somewhat over the top for a 425mm blade size heli.

Protos parts prices are pretty reasonable, almost on a par with Trex 500 prices but Logo spares are anything but cheap. Both the Protos and L400 should be pretty low part count heli's which should make repairs easier, I've always found my L500 easy to repair, it's just a pity I've had to do it so often and it costs so much!

My L500 is probably the sweetest flying heli I've ever owned and the L400 should share these qualities, the Protos is very new with few people outside the factory having flown one so judging which is better overall is very difficult. I have seen comments in build threads on the Protos that the frames are very Logo-like in qulity of materials and moulding.

I will wait until the Protos has got into a few more hands before I make my decision. Crash costs are a concern for me also. If the Protos is cheaper to repair that's definitely a plus for me. I really like the looks of both Helis so it will probably come down to bang for your buck. I don't know pricing on the 400 but the Protos is $365 with a motor and Carbon Fiber SAB Blades. That seems like a good deal when the T_rex 500 is $559 w/ Mtr/Spd cntrl and carbon Blades. Add $100 or so for the speed control and your still way under the T-Rex 500 price. One other thing is the Protos is all new and I've heard the Logo 400 is basically a sized down Logo 10. I don't know if this is true but I like the idea of newer technology. Wish I new the price for a Logo w/ motor and spd cntrl so I can compare the two. Maybe by mid June (when I plan on buying) we will know some more info. I've always wanted a Logo but that Protos has really caught my eye. Wish I could buy both.
