the reason the swash goes down for positive pitch on certain helis is because the control arms for the main blade grips are on the leading edge

I've finally got the Raptor flying again,
video soon to come.

Went with woodies and a frankenbattery (4-3s)
but I'm flying.

I flew the 450 yesterday as well,
attempted to do that whole inverted balloon pop thing.....
Unfortunately I do not have video because I wanted to do a practice run first.

It was reallly windy and every time I flipped it blew me off course and I had to correct while inverted. I finally had a good approach and the wind hit me and I corrected ....incorrectly....

But the good news is I crashed in the mud
The only casualties are a lightly bent main and a servo gear.

Flybar, CF blades, CF paddles, feathering shaft, were all OK...I was in shock.

I love mud!

Goblin! where have you been all my life?

the 9257 is a great servo, many people are using that gyro too, are you sure you are setting it up correctly?are you doing a rate mode set up?what are your tx settings?

I know the following is most likely a waste of time but
i have been planing on doing a inverted hover for the first time
until you can hover inverted in every orientation,I wouldn't be in a rush to start any 3d

i can do it each way on the sim but anyways my seting on my controler for the gyro is
heading hold is 61%
and 49% in rate.

I have tried like every setting and turned gain down or up.

are you setting it up in rate mode first?

being able to do it on the sim means nothing if you are flying a different heli than you own,its a perfectly set up sim heli and I'll bet no wind.its going to be totally different at the field, but I am already done with this, not getting into this mess again.

but first things first, you wont be able to do anything unless the heli is set up right.is the tail servo centered and adjusted in rate mode?

fender you already started it! i have been hovering inverted with wind on the sim! and i fly a heli that is the same size as my 400 and i have it set up as if it is my 400. so i am doing it as if i was doing it in real life. i cant wait to get the heli set up so i can prove it to you! i should be able to do it soon or before the first heavey snow here in Indy. If i dont have proof i will make sure someone on here like racin can say i did so that wil be proof. so fender you are to late to not get into this agian! lol
