IMHO:

King blade tracking problems due to insane headspeed on mushy dampeners and crappy thrust bearings in the grips remember the installing of the wrong size races fiasco?

I dont understand the quality comments?

I pulled the BB king2 out of the box and compared it to the BCPP and was amazed.

1.Thick rugged plastic head parts you can bend a BCPP swash and alter it a couple degrees.

2.Real landing gear not CF twigs BCPP upgrade to supergear.

3.metal tailboom vs CF twig again that needs CA'ed to stop from slipping.

4.thick hard mainshaft that doesnt bend in a tipover.

5.Belt drive vs motor (personal preference) I burned a 1/2 dozen tailmotors every time I tapped the blades on the floor.

6.I hear it sports a better radio My BCPP radio would glitch at the center sticks and just takeoff after 1 month.

So did I buy the worst BCPP and the best King or what?

Dont take this as offensive just friendly debate.

I today would still given the choice choose a King2 over a BCPP.

Dont know about this, just got in from flying the king2,yep,flew again crashed again!I'm still being plagued with mechanical mid flight failures. This time another ball link broke, hit the ground inverted, and destroyed the flybar, feathering shaft, and blades.I don't know guys, this is getting aggrevating.I haven't had twenty minutes of flight time,Im begining to think of this thing as a lemmon!!

Ball link or the ball itself? I have had one ball link crack since I started flying cause I forced it on a steel ball backwards.

Lazy Saturday at home and warm outside w/ Zero wind so took the following outside:

4#3B (2 flights)
Striker 100 (1 flight)
Gaui EP100 (2 flights)

4#3B:
My 3rd flight overall w/ it. I'm still getting used to the Fixed Pitch world. I think I'd describe it as a go cart without breaks. I still get into the situation where I try to slow down and lose cyclic control w/ the absense of head speed.
Striker 100:
Little more squirrely than the EP100 and I have a Rate gyro on it. I tried a loop in the backyard (nasty!). I think I can do a better one w/ more forward speed and a HH gyro to keep the tail in check. I could probably tune it better w/ the Rate gyro but I think this heli is too small to properly weathervane in forward flight to utilize the Rate Gyro
Gaui EP100 Pro:
Definitly my favorite of the 3 for backyard flying. Very stable and agile. I just can't do w/o the collective Pitch, even for slow FF.

Melnic, The EP100 video's(#2) in particular was very stable and under full control. Flew like a much bigger bird !!!(the pilot had something to do with it of course) The more vids I see of the Gaui's the more I like em

After dodging tornadoes this morning dont feel like flying. Yeah thats right tornadoes in december we went from below freezing to 54 overnight.

But Im sure I'll get a pack in on the firefox before the night ends.

Dont give up blade blaster ball links are ball links the only one I ever broke was on the TREX I put the little A for align on the wrong side and crack it went.

I like the way those gooey's fly also dougie look more stable than my firefox there is just way too much slop in it. I will eventually get better cyclic servos and the metal head Keeping the plastic frame.

I had no idea what you meant by that boy you think youtube would of been a little more proud of the HD and gave it a bigger more visible link.

Doug so you liked the flyby where I almost added a Kangaroo pouch to my forehead

Yup, I had not seen that till someone at work told me where to look.
They encode the standard resolution first so the HD link appears some time after the initial live feed of the video. HD is painfull on my laptop w/ wireless link though. This feature is REALLY needed w/ my hat cam. Only issue is the .MOV files are HUGE and I can't quickly edit them like I used to w/ my AVI files.

I watched both EP100 vids in HD. Great flying.

The vibration seemed normal from what I could see.

One way to reduce it would be 170mm blades. The GF blades are heavy, stiff and big.

The flying was great. I liked the "sunroom scare".

Nice "normal mode" exhibition.

You're comfortable with the heli.

yea, after the other 2 helis the Gaui was a dream.
BTW, the 4#3B ran into the lattice on the deck 1/2 through the last flight. Dropped the throttle in time. Picked it up and flew it another 3 minutes.

The Gaui vibration is noticable with the naked eye. I need to pull the main shaft to take a look at it. I had a crash on the first outdoor flight a month back when I tried a couple standing flips and lost juice. I thought the shaft was ok but I need to check it.I still have the plastic stock blades on it. I have the Ele 3D light wood blades I'll put on it next. I had dreams of flipping this inverted indoors but I think I'll lower my expectations for a loop in the back yard.
I set Idle1 on both the Gaui and Striker for -5 pitch and near constant RPM so stability was great in forward flight.

I'm flying the EP200 in the house today.

Nice stable feel. More stable than the EP100. "not so tippy".

However, very similar. This spring I'll put on 205mm CF blades and try it outside. For now, it has the stock "taffy" blades. Suitable for safe indoor winter fun.

In contrast; The TREX250 stock blades are plastic, but stiff.

Windy as all get out today, I managed 2 minutes at the LHS before I surrendered to the wind (no crash) then I finished the battery at my dad's house. No crash!

15+MPH winds but the backyard shielded by trees was more like 5mph.
Flew the Exceed G2. It still has issues w/ not enough right cyclic but was reasonably fun to fly. I worked on hovering nose towards the inside of a circle. Kinda like a nose down tail up funnel but slow hovering.

Finally got a chanced to fly a few packs through the belt. Practiced inverted 8's, some slow inverted hovering stuff and side tic tocs. It seems weird that it can do side tic tocs alright but when I try to do tail down tic tocs it just king of falls

Also did some walls and rolls with the heli verticle almost crashed into a snow bank a couple times.

It was only 0C but the tail was still really jerky and bouncy. It's probably a combination of the cold, tail and servo slop and bad tracking causing vibes. I've got a GWS park HPX servo coming for tha tail so that should help, and I'll probably upgrade the airframe to a copterx 450ME.
