Test flew a new Blue Ray 450 RTF early this morning.
Took some HD video of it but shucks, I can't upload to vimeo or youtube from work.
I was also testing my hat cam setup. It's a Kodak Easy Share camera I got from tigerdirect for $89 refurbished. Camera does 1280x720 HD. W/ the price of SD memory down, I can get ample amount of video w/ it in HD for recording flights. It seemed to do pretty good. I'm still learning to keep my head moving and to hold my head up when the heli is high so I can get a pic.

Just like Shiz did his.
Put a 1/4-20 bolt through a hole on a hat that I could fit tight to my head. Put the hole as close to my head I could get on the visor and still fit. Used a couple washers top and bottom. Fit the hat so it would be tight.
The Kodak Easy Share Z1275 is heavy for a camera, heavier than I think than some other cameras on the market that do HD. But I wasn't thinking hat cam when I bought it. I was thinking "cheap beater camera".

I just have an image of you guys wearing a hardhat with a camera on top of it in the middle of a barren field. And it makes me LMAO. I am glad they made the generals toe's for those who cant handle the hot stuff.

And to heck with yall I am flying carbons they are better than woodies and are only $1 more. I like hardly ever having to adjust tracking woodies need tracking for every temperature range even though the align's are better than Esky.

I guess I was a little off $2 more they dont have the 315mmCF for $13.99 on HD anymore. Here is the 325 for $15 thats cheaper than a set of Blade cp pro woodies.

Nice info about the 315 carbons. How close do they get to your tail blades? I'm running 450-size tail blades...

No heli flying today but I did learn that the Slow Stick can only do 3 full throttle loops in a row before the wings fold up (don't worry Tryan she went into a hay field so nothing but the prop and of course wing rods were damaged) Going to the LHS tomorrow for some aluminum rods to stiffen up the wings

I'm normally able to do as much as I want. Try dropping the throttle on the downward half.
I also added some of that fiber string filled packing tape on my leading edge going parallel w/ the spar.
hmm, I need to get that thing out again. Great aircraft for cold days.

The most loops I ever did with mine was 5, and it didn't look like the wing would take much more.

I need to fix my slow stick too. I nose dived it a couple months ago. I got it over my head and thought it was going straight up but boy, was I wrong. The motor, esc and lipo all were damaged. I'll probably get one of those $15 hobbycity motor combos. The rudder also ripped and some of the plastic parts broke.

Yep that's where I botched up I hotrodded it beyond it's limitations By the down half of the third I had bled off a lot of airspeed from trying to keep the loop tight and didn't throttle off to gain the airspeed back and well......No biggie it's fixed now and I learned it's limitation so all is well

Click here to see the hatcam. Click on view in HD for better rez.
SOrry for the heli going out of frame once and a while.
It was a bit cold and windy so I did not do much on the first flight of this beast.

Do you guys know a small cam or lens, that can be attached to those Sony HDR-SR12 HD cams. So the main cam is on your belt and a small lens is on your hat & is attached to your HD cam corder....
