Does anyone out there have recent experience building and flying the Hirobo Schweizer 300C kit with the three-bladed main rotor system?

I found a couple of threads over in the Scale forum here, they seem to be somewhat dated.

I'm looking to build a scale heli, this one looks to be a good first scale heli. I've seen some of the other Schweizers on the market, this one appears to do a much better job of capturing the full-scale heli and its construction.

I am currently building a hirobo schweizer but with the standard 2 blade head. It is a straight forward build as is the case with all hirobo machines. I have yet to fly it but i have flown the s30 mechanics before in both the hirobo lama and huey. The mechanics are based on the shuttle so parts are never an issue and they are very reliable. Your right that it is a good first scale project you just have to be prepared to do some painting. In regards to the three blade head I have never owned a multi blade heli of any kind but I have tried one and they are different to fly then your standard 2 blade flybar setup. If you go with the 3 blade head you should have a fair amount of flying experience and even then I would recommend using an extra gyro on the elevator axis or if you have the money buy a v-bar system from mikado, I have yet to try it but it has gotten great reviews. Take a look at this months edition of rotorworld if you'd like to read up on it. In any case good luck with whatever you choose and have fun.
