Does anybody know if MA :-

Heads fit the main shafts,
Do they have a habbit of snapping their tail booms off,
Are they susceptable to vibration or 'humming'?
Do the UK importers lie through there teeth??

Just woundering Tchavei, because I know a brand that has all these problems.

No problem with the tail-booms snapping off or breaking, unless of course you dork it. Yes, the head fits on the main shaft. They are susceptible to vibration as is any heli if the fan isn't dial indicated or balanced correctly. I live in the US so I can't comment about UK importers.

It'll be on my shopping list if it turns out to be what I'm looking for (a genuine quality model that fly's well).

Raptors have always been good to me over all. So I've bought another Kasama/Titan for now. I'm going to keep an eye on this Bandit. If it shapes up to be good (and fits together!), I'll buy one.

Happy Christmas all

Rob.

P.S, I love my HeliBaby.

I like the general design of this bird except for two things. 1. I don't like the cyclic servo layout and 2. I dont like the canopy. It sure seems to fly very well though

I actually really like the canopy. I also like the black window stripe design, just like a bandits mask , hence the name I guess. I hope the canopy comes painted in the green with bandit black window stripe.

I see your point on the servos. Maybe a little venerable in a crash?

I'm more concerned about fitting different brands of servos and changing the geometry. JR servos have the output shaft 2mm closer to the edge than futaba servos. Don't even know about hitecs and the 8717 are slightly different from the rest too. On a traditional push pull system this doesn't make a difference because all you do is shorten the push pull distance to the T lever but on an angled installation directly to the swash it doesn't look so unconsequently anymore.

Don't know, I haven't studied the geometry enough to be sure.

Don't worry about it Tony. Assuming your servo spline sits 2mm closer to the mainshaft than a Futaba servo would, then all you have to do is use a hole on a servo horn that sits 2mm closer to the spline of the servo than what is recommended in the manual.

I would like to think that the new 50 uses the exact same servo arrangement as the E-Razor, but I'm not positive. If it's the case that they do, then you can rest assured people successfully run non Futaba servos in their Razor's.

^^Especially when they put the guide hole in the servo mount, it's a no brainer.

Nitro 50

Is the head, main grips, flybar carrier the same as a Stratus/Fury Extreme? If so the main shaft should be the same thickness just a different length. Does anyone know the gear ratio for the mains and the tail blades? Is the crown gear still on top? Or is the tail drive system completely different?

Different head, same grips, don't know about the flybar carrier. Here are some pics I took when flying with Bobby. The head block in the pic might be the stratus head but the production head is different. These pics are a couple months old and the new head block was not in yet from the machine shop.
