helical - hummm. where to start.
it's mainly a social thing. After a while of being on the sim and refining your moves it gets a bit boring.
So going on online puts a bit of fun back into it.
Yet, you are not playing a game it's still practice and you can easily put in another hour or so... of sim stick time and not even feel it. or just watch the others.
you can see the moves others are doing and sit there wondering how the heck they do that.
if the host puts out a target you can showoff how you can park her in the red. or how you always miss it. It's all in good fun
It doesn't matter what skill level you are at it's all good. I can sit there all night and practice my hovers. while the others are just buzzing around me doing all sorts of crazy sh^T.
Plus- those mid air colisions NEVER get old.
You can press "C" to chat but it's really hard to type and fly and the same time.
NOW TEAMSPEAK brings this up to a whole new level. You are now talking to the guys you are flying with.
We discuss eveything from the latest and greatest heli stuff coming out, funflys, issues we're having or how different birds fly. I mean, you name it we discuss it. The best part about this is -well at least for me - i can ask the guys:
"hey what the heck is an inverted-tail roll- with a reverse funnel cake piro."
repsonse: "ok- let me show you".
you jump into spec mode and they will explain it to you.
