hell I'd leave it that way. May not be scale, but I think those surrounds would look good up against a nice yellow. Really nice work BTW

Greetings,

Check out how this EC 145 was made. He too made the BIG holes for the exhaust pipes but then covered them in the scale way.

This model is look very good. I had fun watching it progress. Keep up the good work.

Christopher

hi guys

thank you all for the nice replys im getting use to looking at the exhaust now i should be pleased really as it is only my second scale heli iv built,

iv got the job i hate doing out the way now which is cutting the glazing to shape with so many windows it took me ages and for some reason i just get bored doing them

iv also been doing the mock up for the cockpit sliding windows which will be working so i can have them open or closed got a lot of work to do but when finished i will mould the frame in silicon then make the part from resin just hope this will be strong enough

once again thanks for the encouragement

hi

that is a shame yes, there is a guy here who does really good paint jobs but he stopped doing them, but im hopeing that he might be able to do it as a friend of his said he might do it as long as iv not got a time scale for when i want it back,i.e. it could take 2 weeks or it could be 2 months well im ok with that as i know he is one of the best painters in the country

why not take a stab at painting it yourself?? A good gun is half the problem. I'll bet you'd do just fine. We'll give you a collective slap if you sell it now!!!

Paul, Why do you need an air brush artist,
Nick C can lay on a good coat of laquer, he has just finished one that is supposed to be spectacular, I have not seen the photo's but will see it on the 6th at the Red Lodge meet
Why not come up to the meet and see for yourself

Paul, I'll be at Red Lodge too, it would be great to meet up. You should put your fuse in the car too, I know everyone would like to see your work even in primer.

hi darren

iv been doing the rivit work on the tail boom the 145 is not like the 135 as in the tail boom has bloody thousands of rivits, taken ages as the rivits keep shrinking iv use the starwood ones and they shrink worse,im using evo stick pva glu which seems to hold up better,i will post some pics tomorrow, also i will soon need a good painter to do the paint work for me

Paul, the machine is really looking good. Lot's of nice detail. A while back Lee recommended a glue called Speed Bond for doing the rivets. It works great for them. And it's made in the UK so you should be able to get some easily. If you have many more rivets to do it may be worth picking up.

hi guys

some pics of the rivit detail,

hi nick
i have got the speed bond and still it seems to dry looking more like a nipple than a rivit,im not sure but have heard you have to have the temp right for it to dry right but im not sure if thats right i will just keep going and see how it goes
