When it is all said and done Thunder Tiger with its raptor line
will still be there. Price, dependability, and customer service
is the key to a good product.

Enjoy the hobby.

They'll still be there - in ever decreasing numbers. Travel around to some fields, you'll see what I mean. Align is taking over. I noticed this first at IRCHA 07 while I was there. In NZ the Raptor line is disappearing FAST.

Unless TT release a new Raptor - why would the trend change away from newer and better designs?

Yep. two weeks ago I went to 3Dx Spain and 80% of all the birds (I stopped counting at 100) were all align. I only counted 2 raptors (one titan and one 50v2se). Heck, I even found 4 Vibe 50 which is quite suprising since the bird came out less than 2 months ago

Its all in the marketing, Align has taken over these days. Caertainly not the quality but in the marketing and promotion.
That is what sells helicopters these days.

we can never have too many, can we ?

Mark this date, I don't think Align will be anywhere in the top
5 but raptor will be in 10 years.

Enjoy the hobby.

the raptor is a great heli, it suits all flying style, so maybe it doesnt exceed at 3d, but may thats not its purpose, maybe its ment to be an all around good heli for a wide range of flyers. Also it is very cheap to repair, and with the simple crash kit you can fix most crashes, and rarely if ever need new frame parts

yes the 600n looks awesome and has all the fancy bling, and yes its light and wips around in 3d. but put a beginner with a 600 and i think they would have a really hard time. Also its really just a fade. As soon as a better heli comes out everyone will run to it like a herd of sheep. The raptor has lasted through many fades and still seems to always come through in the end.

I went back to a raptor after trying the "next best thing". I love my raptor because I can throw it down the steps, into the trunk of my car, fuel and fly. Thats what it is about for me. I bet 80% of people can not fly a raptor to its fullest. At 10/10 pitch I still bog the head alot. More then likly because I suck...

WHATEVER. You guys are deluding yourselves. I've OWNED Raptors with ALL the bling - check my gallery. The 600 smokes them at a price that does not break the bank. The 600N can easily be tamed for a newbie - if you don't know how then I question your setup ability.

Since the 600N has come out there have been a few arguably better 50's released and yet the 600N still dominates. How is that a fad (sp - fade?)?

Pilots are learning how to handle +-14, try getting that with a Raptor.

It did, its called the Vibe 50

With all the upgrades Align just looks like a good value, they get you little by little.

If Raptors are going to compete with whats out today their going to have to update their line of heli's and probably are doing just that as we speak.

Most skipped that. They went from their Raptor at +-10 to the Rex 600 and +-14.

Any one could fly 14/14. But not at its fullest. Only a great pilot could handle hard 3d at 14/14. But maybe Im wrong. Maybe the trek is so great that anyone could manage 14/14 with ease. Maybe the hyper or YS could pull 14/14 in a 600n better then 10/10 in a raptor. I dont know this since I do not own a 600n

Yep it does. Had a hyper in a rap 50 and it bogged more at 11 degrees then my 600N at 14. Same headspeeds and blades. I put it down to the 600N transmission being more efficient and proper cooling.. amongst other things

Jonny isn't lying either, I've seen him fly both many times. If anyone can handle 14/14 - it's him.

sorry raptor cheerleaders. The align 600N wins hands down. I have owned and flown both. No contest.
