anyone have ideas to extend the tail fin,
flew my nexus the other day with training gear and a gust of wind lifted the nose, tail rotors looked good cutting the grass,
managed to land it, but the training gear came apart and one ball went through the rotors,
anyways the tail rotors were well out of line, so figured if i could extend the fin they would be kept away from the grass, am also going to epoxy the training gear together,

dont quote me on this but i think they sell larger fins for that reason. I am new too but i think i have heard of them like that. (also you could glue a wire or something down from the fin if it doesnt mess up the cg)

nexus fin extension

Here's what I used to do when that was a problem.

Take one of those pesky credit cards you get in the mail and use it to cut an extension for the tail. Then, just bolt it to the tail.

The credit card extension is firm enough but will flex/give if you hit the tail first. Hopefully the flexing action saves you a main gear next time.

Eventually you learn to set it down level or with some slight forward cyclic and then it becomes a non issue.
