Looks like quite a few R30V2s have a leaking gas tank.
Has anybody fixed it successfully?

They were defective from the factory....call ace and they will send you a new one free....we fixed mine by heating some plastic and dripping it onto the side nipple that was leaking...sort of a plastic solder....you need to assemble the frame around the tank, not try to slide the tank into the frame, it tears the side nipples...Bill

The nipples on my tank started leaking this weekend. When I get the new one Im going to take a iron and melt them flush with the tank and then sticky tape the tank onto the heli. The nipples needed to be solid plastic, I dont know what Thunder Tiger was thinking.

I did fix one side that had only a pin hole by heating up the end of a screw driver and sliding it over the hole and melting the hole shut.

Are the newer tanks better than the older ones?

I just received two new tanks today and they look just like the old one I have.

My replacement looks the same also, I just loosened the frame screws to spread the frame and inserted it easy, closed the frame around it, that seems to be the answer so as not to tear the side nipples.
