Ok, before I go nuts looking, My CT with YS80 and MP2 on WC20% has been a good boy for a long time, then I put some of those nasty mah105's that turned my horizontal fin to a BLUR, I ran those for one flight, but now even with good NHP's it seems to have a horizontal fin buzz, while trying different blades I had the back left skid bolt break TWICE, now, the head sheared off at the lower frame. Is this pointing to something? BTW I have a fairly new extreme tail assy, long 33" CF.

OHH, I allmost forgot, I cracked my elevator servo frame too! You know the rubber mounted seperate g10 piece, ????

Things to check:

Tail hub. Make sure it's straight.

Pull the tube drive and make sure it's straight (roll it on a Dubro balancer or the like). Support bearings glued securely in place? 2mm of endplay allowed for in installation, right?

Are the tail blades you say are good the ones that were running smoothly before?

Check the T/R output shaft for straightness.

A bad rear engine bearing can cause this crap, too, as can a bad bearing to the clutch support bearings.

Make sure the fan is still dialed in tight to at least 0.001". Dampers in good shape?

You need to run this problem down. I'm afraid the next thing that may break is a radio component.

DO NOT be tempted to install a 4mm bolt in the landing gear. It won't break, but something else in the model WILL. That bolt breaking is/was your friend.

Are the tail blades you say are good the ones that were running smoothly before? << Yes NHP's and stock furys, both good on other CT I fly (YS91)

Check the T/R output shaft for straightness. << New too, solid type

A bad rear engine bearing can cause this crap, too, as can a bad bearing to the clutch support bearings. << Hope not, only 10 gallons on YS80, and new clutch bearings when I put YS80 in with new 3 bearing support (8.18 gearing)

Make sure the fan is still dialed in tight to at least 0.001". Dampers in good shape?<< Was about .001, dampners look ,feel OK

You need to run this problem down. I'm afraid the next thing that may break is a radio component. << Hear you there

Check for cracked lower frames. My CT was driving me nuts with fins and boom supports vibrating, turned out to be a crack in the right lower frame.
