okey doky....I have a helimax Micro Piezo and today while out attempting to fly this very little almost unnoticeable problem came up right before i took off you could see the nose pulling right so i corrected it and nothing!! so i spooled down walked over and everything was working/moving ok so gave it throttle again and it piro'ed hard to the right so i set it down and now whenever i turn on the reciver it moves the servo to piro right! ive checked the reciver, crystals, servo what can i do to fix this?? cause it kinda hard to fly like it is oh yea and it mounted on a nexus 30 thanks!

Make sure the gyro direction is correct. You may have to reverse it on the gyro. I am not completely familiar with this gyro, but you should be able to reverse it on the gyro, or if it is reversed try switching it back to normal. Slowly add throttle and see if the helo starts to piro while light on the skids. I had a piezo gyro, and two problems I ran into. This was one, the other was on top of having it reversed I had the gain pot on the gyro way too high, along with the gain on my TX. Check these and go from there. If all else fails start from scratch..make sure the helo is correct mechanically, proper servo geometry, no binding etc., radio & servo settings are correct and the gyro is operating in the correct direction.

Sorry didn't mean to dumb it down. I fixed my piezo gyro problem forever when I bought a 401 / 9253 combo last month. I would not ever go back to a piezo gyro except for maybe a scale bird.

You don't have to have the 9253, however it definitely works to it's full potential as a set. You can get the combo for $200 ,no tax, and free shipping from Heliproz. I waited for six months before I could cough up the $. My wife didn't let me stop feeding the 4 kids for a month to buy it, so she made me save..... . BTW you save about $40 buying it as a combo versus separately. Good luck in solving the prob, if it is under warranty definitely get it fixed. I was told that piezo gyros are black & white. Either they work, or they don't. There is no in between.

I think the heli-max gyro has a pot on it that allows you to adjust the center point on the gyro.
It does the exact same thing as rudder trim on the TX does but on a much larger scale.
I helped tinker with a Nexus once that had a heli-max gyro on it.
Try cheking that maybe.

With that and a check of your profile and my incredibly large brain I just figured out your age.. . Just tell your parents that if they buy you the combo that it will pay for itself in the cost of crashes you are going to avoid. But then you have to never ever crash again or they will know you conned them. Simple enough........at least that is how i tried to con my wife into it. She knows that when it comes to helos I'm like a junkie borrowing money for a fix.......cmon pleas just this one time and never again......til next time. Good luck!!!!

i have the exact same gyro on my nexus and if you notice the tape mounted on it show a rotation indicator on each side of it.mount it on it's side, make sure your t/r blades are set to minumum 0 pitch hold the main rotor head and spin the frame (with receiver on)and note which way the blades pitch,if they don't pitch the way they should mount the gyro 180 degrees and all should be fine although you still may have to use the adjustments on the gyro! hope this helps! i'm a newbie also! best regards ken

im not sure if you've done this or if its 100% neccessary, but with my 460t and my gy401 gyro's, before I installed them i plugged the tail rotor servo directly into my receiver. from there, i aligned the "center" of the servo and set my atv's... after that i installed my gyro.

That happened to me!

I had exactly the same problem with my CSM 400 gyro two weeks ago.

I tried everything, no joy.

So I sent it back to the manufacturer because I was curious. They ran tests on it and found that the internal memory had become corrupt.

They sent me a brand new one..........CSM........TOP COMPANY!!!

Has the exact same thing happen on a new guys heli...it worked one flight and the next time I switched it on the damn thing pinned the T/R servo full right! Reset it, switched on and off, no joy...the thing was toast! He sent it back to the Evil Empire who said it was outta' warrentee (a few weeks ) but they would knock off $15.00 if he bought a new one!
Go for the 401/9253 combo...still best bang for the buck!

IMHO...Chris
