I setup my GV1 in a R60. Here is the part I don't understand.

Do I still need idle up1 and idle up 2. I guess so for the pitch curves. But what about the throttle curves. Are they overidden by the GV1 or is it that in idle up mode it uses my orginal throttle curve settings from before I installed the govener ??

Thanks

If GV1 is turned on and correct set up, it will override your old trottle curves. It´s still a good idea to keep the curves it the GV1 fails in one way or another, like throwing a magnet or if sensor breaks.

'Hm now I just have to find out where to connect the GV1 sensor to the Jazz80 ESC.

The GV-1 will override your throttle curves you have set, and control the throttle according to what headspeed you have set. You still need a good set of throttle curves in your idle up 1 & 2, so that if the GV-1 fails, it will use the throttle curves you have set in those positions as a backup. The way I have mine set up is to change head speeds in the different idle ups. In normal I have the governer set to off, in idle up 1 i have it set to 1700, and in idle up 2 I have it set to 1850. I hope that makes sense.
