I just got this hawk together, I thought I did the setup correctly,
I have the 401/9253 gyro and when It just starts to lift the tail wants to immediatly move to the right . Any body know what I have done wrong?
I have the gain set at 70

thanks
Dave

Check a few things with the engine off,
on the Hawk to check the servo, right rudder should move the
control rod forward, to check the gyro direction, rotate the nose left
and the rod should move forward.
The tail will need some right rudder in a hover to counteract rotor torque
usually with the tail blades folded approx 25mm tip to tip of the blades,
this can be preset before running on the bench.
Make sure your revo is disabled with the gy401 gyro also.
I think your gain is a bit high also, you'll probably get a lot of tail wag
if so lower it to around 50% and work around there, do your initial hovering in non HH mode and adjust per instructions, then recheck in
HH the next flight after cycling the rx sw with the heli not running.
