I would appreciate any help please.

I have a Raptor 30 V1 that has been flying great. Recently after promising myself to leave well enough alone I changed the position of the tail servo (JR8700) to boom mounted and also changed the blade grips and oval fly bar links to quick worldwide aluminium units. My problem is that I now have a "pulse" in the tail rotor. By this I meen perhaps every five seconds or more - not consistently though - the tail pulses in one direction. If I run the model up and keep it on the ground I can see the tail rotor pitch slider move 1/8" in one direction. It only does it when the engine is at above 1/4 throttle and does not do it at all when the engine is not running. I have checked wiring and loose plugs etc. The gyro is a CSM540 and has not given me any problems in the past.

I have noticed that the aluminium oval fly bar links can touch the aluminium blade grips and I was wondering if this could cause a glitch but I am using pcm so would this be likely.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Noel, sure it's not an engine problem? A slight cough in the engine can do just that.

Taking my Raptor out today and have servos on order to get the Sky Fox back in the air, maybe next weekend...

2 posible reasons static from tail drive belt or vibration similar to the CSM 560

Look at the CSM 560 thread...

I'd go with Galifrey. Guy at our field had his Raptor tail transformed after grounding the tail shaft, tail boom and main shaft to the engine mount. The glued up AV mount can't do any harm either and with the 560 some users have seen a big improvement.

Please keep us posted as to what you find

I had this same problem with my Raptor 30 V1 with the CSM540 and a PCM receiver, Problem went away when I replaced the main shaft bearings. When I pulled them out of the heli I could feel that they were bad.
