I have a super brain 959. I use it at the moment to charge my rc car batterys (7-cell sub c). It says it can go 3-8 cells (sub c again) and also single cell glow drivers.

Anyway my question is can i charge the heli tx and rx batteries with this? or would i need a new charger?

This is a really good charger, has delta peak and goes from .5amps -4.5 amps charging power. The plug that comes off it is the one for the standard car batteries.

Car charger

I use a car charger to charge my tx and rx batteries at the field.
I have a Duratrax Intellipeak. It peak charges from .5 amp to 6.5 amps.
I bought some connectors that work with rx batteries and my radio.I think the connectors are hobbico from tower hobby.
I don't charge at more than 1amp and wouldn't recommend charging much higher than that. These batteries are not designed to be fast charged like car batteries.
hope this helps.

dont know. But seeing as how it has delta peak detection (i'm guessing from the name) and is pulsed (fast charging without over heating, again from the name) i would assume so. I would call them or your radio company and ask if its ok to use it.

I use the same charger to charge my batterys for my Heli's. You have to make a connector that will work for each. I cut my original radio a/c charger leads off and created a wire harness for the charger. It works fine. I know several people that have also done this. As far as the glow plug driver. You can purcase a seperate connector for it. I have tried making a connector and turning the charge rate to .5amps. It works fine, but I had short time use of the driver. Not sure if it was a bad driver, or overcharging rate from the charger....
