Hi all,

On page 2 in the GY601 manual i see the following:

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to cause cancer and birth defects (or other reproductive harm)

What part of the gyro are they talking about?
And is the warning only when you open the gyro?

Thanks,
Raptor30

rip it open and start licking... You can tell us when something falls off your body or you develop a rash.... I think it is chemicals commonly found in all electronic parts... I'll lick my tv Remote.. and we can compare acid burns later........

I've seen that appearing on a lot of things recently, suppose its to stop all the idiots suing the manufacturers for ruining their life .

Oh sweet mother of all that is good. Run for your life!!

Seriously, you need to only touch your GY-601 with radioactive proof gloves and wear proper clothing. You also need to wear a protective mask to keep the toxic fumes emitted by the GY-601 from killing you.

Like Wmac said they are putting that label on a lot of different things, I purchased a tailgear for one of my planes that had that on there. I think it a California type label for certain materials inside of plastic, or something. Daz...

BTW, JR is probably just behind the times as usual,

If you read the label on your container of Cool Power Fuel it also says the same type of thing.

Well it does in the UK anyhow.

I think it's plastic... or rubber I don't remember which but one will make your dick fall off... and the metal in the static shield too. I think it's steel but in any case would be very careful.

I think, if I'm lucky, sometime in the next 50 years (I'm 42) I'll grow old and die. And that is despite the best efforts of the California EPA.

Pratically anything that might even remotely see the terra firma of California has a cancer warning sticker on it. Its possible that people living in that part of the world might just be more succesible to cancer then the rest of us humans and humanoids.

I lost my infamous tag line.

Does that mean that you are safe as long as you stay out of California with whatever has the warning label?

Kalifornia bulsch

It's the plasticizer used in manufacturing, or it could also be the solder and-or flux used in the components.

It is a stupid liberal piece of crap law that costs businesses tons to post warning signs that tell you absolutely nothing.

I guess we should all live in the tops of redwood trees and breathe only fresh air contaminated with pine smell which by the way is toxic too, They should require labelling of trees. And what about "new car smell"?

So now they are busy outlawing 50 caliber firearms. Never mind that there has NEVER been a recorded crime wherein a 50 caliber weapon was used. Yeah, those unemployed thugs always shoot $8 bullets out of $4K guns. No, they wait until new years, cinquo de mayo, or 4 july to fire their full auto AK's in the air all over town. I love LA!!!!

Should have bought that auto Barrett light 50 when I had the chance. I might need to shoot a large tree someday (one shot-one kill), but only in self defense of course.

Hitch-Hiker I guess I can pay $100 for those toxic units, just make sure you throw in those toxic rudder servo's too, that comes with the 601, you never know where those toxic agents are coming from, Daz...

As long as you don't eat them you're ok.

I guess some of the folks in Granola Land (what ain't fruits and nuts is flakes) have a hard time with this concept so their goverment officials are just looking out for them with these laws about warning labels.

You guys are all wrong.

In order to get the 601 certified by the EPA , the FCC, the FAA, and the FDA, they ran a test where they fed gyros to one million lab rats. After each rat consumed 1,000 gyros and associated parts, one of the rats died of cancer, so obviously the 601's are carcenogenic.

60 minutes has a segment on it Sunday night.

To save yourself and possibly prevent cancer, send me your 601 please.

Wayne, much as I'd like to contribute to your fine campaign, unfortunately I do not own a 601 gyro. Therefore I have sent you a rat and hope this will accepted as my contribution.

Keep up the good work, your hobby needs you.
