My computer does not have an AGP slot so real flight G2
will be questionable. And I don't feel like shelling out $ 130.00 CDN
for a good PCI card
So my second option is a sim interface
Have anyone tried one of these http://www.simblaster.com

Thanks for any info

Most if not all of the new G2's come with usb, which dont use usb (you should have maybe 2 or so on your comp) The one i have came with the game port version (same as a joy stick) it usually plugs into your sound card. So if you have usb slots free your good, and if you have a sound card w/game port your good!

Hope that helps

G2

I have 2 USB ports. The G2 will not work on my computer because of my Graphics card. I has an Intel 810 graphics controller
I e-mailed real flight and they said G2 does not support the 810
controller. So I do not want to spend $ 130.00 CDN for a 32 mb card. By the time I buy the card ( PCI only ) and G2 it will be close to $ 500.00 CDN after tax.
There must be a cheaper alternative

!130?!?!!

You don't need a top of the line video card to run G2, just something a little better than what you have. It sounds like you need to upgrade you computar anyway.

$130 wont get you a top of the line video card =)

Are you sure it doesnt have an agp slot free? What is using them? (most MoBos have 2) If your existing video card is using one just excange it out for a gefore 2 mx (very good card and cheep too), they may even make it in pci mode. I'll get back to you after i look.

Video Card

Briliu Thanks for the reply
No AGP slots at all . 2 year old HP Pavilion 6830 P 700
Computers become out dated as soon as you open the box.

I e- mailed Real flight again to what my options are for a
32mb PCI card. Maybe they can help.

A $ 60.00 USD card is $ 110.00 CDN
$ 60.00 USD = $ 95 CAD plus $ 10.00 USD shipping
For the 20.00 bucks I would rather buy here

Try pricewatch

Once you have narrowed down what kind of card you want, try http://www.pricewatch.com. They are like an advertising web site that computat vendors advertise their specials on. I have ALWAYS bought my 'tar parts from there and most companies will ship to canada.
