My 9253 is on a Quick UK tail mount, well-made and works. Saves re-trimming the tail every time you have to adjust the tension of the tail drive belt.

I have to agree with Finndave on that one, never had problems with my tail servo mounted on the boom......
I also recommend the quick uk set (I have both types, and the original carbon-mount upgrade is solid but suffers for the re-adjusting everytime you adjust belt tension, like finndave says)
Go for it!!

The tail adjusting thing is quite important for us Scandinavians (native and adopted, like me!) as we have such variable temperatures.

Dave I had 3 9253's go bad in the same way. All of them where in the milli mounted at the back of the frames.

How does taping the servo make it run hot? There are no cooling vents and most decent servos have a rubber seal anyway, so all the tape would do is slow the ingress of oil, not affect the operating temp.
