Hi.

I just got a Rap 50 + Webra 52 engine and because of the wide trottle engine throttle arm, I can't install the engine correctly; the throttle arm hits with the frame.

Does anyone know how to fix this ? What about if I cut out the piece of offending frame off ? .. will that be a good fix for ths ?

Don't know your exact problem, but you could try turning the carb in the crankcase slightly so it misses the frame, also you could move the throttle arm on the carb slightly and that might help...

I wouldnt cut any from the frame as you will create a weak point..

I'm not sure about your carb but I've seen Webra carbs that have a throttle arm that can be repositioned a little in both radial and axial direction. a friend of mine had this same engine in his Raptor and I know he didn't have to cut the frame.

No cutting required

Definitely no cutting required with that combo!

Furthermore, I did neither need to rotate the carb.

It is close, but if the carb is positioned properly (orthogonal to the crank case) it all fits.

Best regards,

John

I had to take a small amount off the sideframe. i used a dremel, and the sanding cylinder you get with it creates a perfect cutout.

Don't worry, you don't need to take enough off to weaken the frames.

Well, I had to dremel off about 0.5 cm off the frame to make it fit. There was no way I could have made it fit without doing it. BTW, this was a V2 !
