I've got a Vario gasser with the long boom and blades. I want to run some JR 8101 servos that I already have. Will they do the job or should I upgrade?

Your JR 8101 servos will be more than adiquate. No need to upgrade. Most Benzin helicopters out there are using Futaba 9202's which are about the same speed but 1/3 less torque.

Agreed

You'll do fine with them......invest in a good gyro/servo combo (Futaba 401 minimum......I prefer futaba gyro's over alll others). James
