People who are driving should pay more attention to the road not the things around.

But as you says it would suck if it would cause accidents. Often when out driving my girlfriend says look at that, look at this... etc. So there are much things to look at already. My guess is that it wouldnt increase the accidents caused by the driving dropping the attention to the road and vehicles around to look a some girls tanning , dogs and so on.

What's wrong with that? The sooner a significant accident is blamed on a park flier, the sooner they'll be banned.

Then, when we're at our established flying sites, we won't have to worry about the RF interference that the park fliers generate and the LHS's never bother to tell the people they sell these things to about.

Think a soccer mom gives two sh%*s about your $2,000 model when her son is flying his $100 airplane?

I guess I should have added

helis in Vermont are very few, very few people have seen or heard of them here, I am always asked does it really fly,,, well my friend, the guy that taught me to fly was night flying in a small field, he was about 200 feet from the road, well, some guy as he was driving down the road was watching the heli and he drove of the road and hit a tree, he didn't know what the heli was,,, and yes my friend did stop night flying so close to the road !!

Hi,

I would imagine the swimsuit model in the front yard getting her sun tan has caused more accidents than the model airplane ever will......

A common sense test during the driver's examine would prevent more accidents than anything

Do to the nature of park fliers they are extremly light and have about the same mass as a big stunt kite. I have flown my park flier out of my backyard right in the middle of a residential area and yes I have crashed it into a neighbors backyard. Just picked it up and dusted it off. I have seen park flier bouncing off of cars, houses and people and I have yet to see any damaged caused by one.

I know I know it's all good until your own kid gets hurt, then you'll really have a thing to say,,,

all I'm saying is if one child get hurt from anyone flying any RC heli, plane or park flyer in the street, it's one to many, flying in a street is just not smart, and Hobby Lobby should NOT promote it !!,,,

DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN!
Outlaw parkfliers and full auto 50 cal assault weapons.

I am soooooo tired of the 'if it saves just one child' BS that gets spewed forth from touchy feely soccermom wannabees.

What is the big deal about park flyers, Most of them run on the 27Mhz band. How is that going affect us flying on the 72Mhz band
It promotes the hobby and some of these people will move to bigger and better. I know I did, I started with a Firebird 18months ago and now I'm flying heli's and planks. Of course I can't seem to figure out what happend to all the money I use to have

Well not all... I use a 72mhz band for my park flier but I am certian that there is no chance of shooting anyone down since the nearest place to fly the big R/C's is about 10 miles away.

yea that's what I am a wannabee soccermom,,, all I'm saying is it's not right for Hobby Lobby to promote flying RCs in the streets,,, where is it going to start or stop, if it's Ok to fly a park flyer in the streets then it's OK to fly a 110 inch giant scale in the streets..

Hobby Lobby only said that because they think it will sell more park flyers !!

Soccer Mum

Typically a Younger Mother who drives a Sport Utility Vehicle or Mini-van.

If SUV is chosen, it's a four wheel drive that will never be taken off-road. Mom has to have one because "it's cool" and can transport the massive amount of children taken to soccer (football) games.

Mom think she owns the road, you have to get out of her way....

No regard given to others, she is the center of the world....

Close enough??

Thanks, I am now up to speed on the term 'soccer mum'. Who coined the phrase? It is obviously something you all know over there, did it come from a TV show or what?

The massive amount of children, does it has to be hers, for she to be a "soccer mom"?
