I plan on using my standard JR537's for everything but the gyro. Does anyone think that this will cause a problem either due to the torque or the fact that they are non-digital?

Thanks, Dave

If you don't go into hard flying, these servos should be good for hovering and simple circuits.
But do consider getting better servos like the DS 8231 or S9202 if you like to fly harder.
Sceadu is a heavy bird, compared to other 30 sized heli. IMHO, it's more of a 50 size bird.

Std servos

Boiler,
To start with you could use std servos on a 30 heli, but in reality this depends on what type of flying you are into.
Your're ok if you are hovering and doing some circuits.(even fast forward flight)
The collective demands most torque so that is the servo you want to change first. I used std servos on my first Ergo30 which was fine to start with. When I changed the coll. servo I had much more "holding power" to stop the descend of the heli. ( all pilots appreciate this I promise !)
Good luck/
