So, if I want to stick a 90 in a std Freya I need to buy a 12 tooth clutch bell ( to go w/ the stock 95T gear) at ~$55, in addition to the $280 engine and $145 muffler.

no, actually, the 12T pinion is
available separately for only $25

You should spring for the 95T Delrin
maingear though. I doubt the 95
black plastic gear will survive very long.

OS91Cspec $270
MP2 $105
Pinion $25
Gear $35

Webra P-5 $260
MP II $110
Pinion $25

$395 gets you running with the pack.

My main gear is white, and came on the heli from Ricks. Does that make it Delrin? And the MP2 is as forgiving as a Hatori muffler, or is it a finicky tuned pipe?

The MP II is versatile and simple. Just bolt it on and forget about it. It looks like a really fat muffler. It looks well because it comes highly polished though it is a little ugly. However, like a child, it grows on you after a while.

The white gear is probably the Delrin gear.

white gear is Delrin. Good.

MP2 is braindead easy. zero adjustment. Bolt on and fly.

MP2 & OS91Cspec is awesome combo

Hi Agilefalcon,
I'm planning to get a Webra 91 with my Freya in the future. I'm still saving for it now.
I have read somewhere that the Webra 91 is a powerful engine and the freya will be more comfortable with the Webra 75. Someone has a Webra 91 that rips apart a Freya frame during a full power climbout.

I have a webra 91 in a freya on a MPII. I wouldn't put much credit into having a webra rip a freya frame apart. I read that post too and it made me laugh. Seems like a cluch would slip or gears would strip long before the motor broke out. Its a very strong engine but not that strong. I have both a c-spec and the webra. The webra may be stronger when its running right, but the c-spec is very easy to adjust and has ton's of power.

One thing I'd suggest is that if you are
going to shove a 91 in a stock Freya,
strongly consider upgrading to the
EX engine mount. First off, it will save
you a bunch of dead weight vs. the
stock (and IMO, really cheezy mount)
and it also has a crossmember which
takes a bunch of stress off the
engine case and stiffens up the lower
frame assembly.

Another upgrade parts worth consideration is the EX fan hub if you use 80/91 engine.

My stock fan hub slip on the taper collet with a OS 91. After I change to a EX hub(use a key to lock the hub on the crankshaft), this problem never happened since.

Cheers
