Yo guys any1 have any idea what band width of the 27 mhz frequency the X-EC diversion r/c plane uses. The range is supposily 500ft but i lose control around 30 feet. The transmitter that came with it is crap so ive thought about using my Jr radio if only i new what bandwidth it uses. All it says in instructions that it operates on 27mhz freq, ive looked on their site, emailed them and looked on net but no look. I could buy all the crystals in the 27 mhz range but thats expensive and the plane only cost £90. Thanks

Well I am glad that I am not the only one with problems from the Megatech X-EC Diversion. I bought one and I could hardly get 5 feet before it would go crazy. I talked to the hobby shop guys and we tested another one which worked there in the shop, but when I got it back home it did the same thing. They told me if you live near any sports complexes, or if you are flying in a auditorium that you will get interference. I tried it outside and got about 25 feet before everything went crazy again. I wish I could tell you wish band on 27 mhz it is on, but I have looked and come up with nothing. If you do find out please post it.

wingtip, thanks for your reply. I will try my plane out in a different location this spring. Someplace I know should not have any interferance. Hopefully it will work. It just makes me mad that it doesn't work since all I ever heard was praise about the little plane.

Hi All,

It may have something to do with the antenna being inside of the CF tail boom. Try taking it out and maybe taping it to the outside of the boom.

hey blockatvalpo i found that if you extend the antenna on the aircraft by soldering some thin wire to it, it increases the range considerably and it is actuallly controlable, but make sure you use light wire or else it weighs it down too much, hope this helps you too

Hey blockatvalpo....
Did you try it yet? I used to have problems with a product from Megatech called the Airstrike (a foam plane) and everytime it got more that 30 feet away from me, it would go nuts. I sent it back and they had no problems with it and sent me a new one. Tried the new one and same problem. Point of the story.......never bought from Megatech since then!

But now this little heli was just tempting me today at the hobby store, so I want to know if this resolves your problem.

Keep us posted.

Didn't ever try sodering more antenna on it. I took it out once I got back to school and it did fly. I sold it on ebay a couple weeks ago, just not as much fun as helis.
