Alan, you make me feel real bad now I didn't know it was your son doing the filming. However, my comments were based on watching the downloaded video which on my PC runs in a box about 2x4 inches. I would love to see flying like that for real, but over here it is unlikely! I saw an earlier video of Alan Jr with a Raptor 50, I have a Raptor 50 as well and I can't believe a model like mine can do so much!

What can I say! Wow! He sure knows how to stir the sticks!

I watched it full screen on a 19" and backed away from the desk appr. 1m looked quite good! At first before take off, I though, that "steady shot" should be nice , but as soon as Alan was about to send it up in space the cam shakescalmed down (guessing that Danny? was walking backwards or something)!

Cool movie!

Anyone fly like that in Sweden?

Seen one guy here doing good low inverted hovering, backwards rolls, not much more. He's about 100 times as good as I am, though! Would love to get to England to see the 3D Masters sometime, but it is the weekend the schools finish for the summer over there and my daughters always fly here, so I can't be going the other way!

Convince her to come along and watch!

3D Master would be really cool to check out some time, I guess its the closest 3D event, that has the world top pilots attending, for us living in Scandinavia.

I suppose I could try...and fly back with them, but it means a lot of plane tickets and I'm not a rich man! Not sure if they'd appreciate it, aged 13 and 15 (well, they will be by the summer!). Hmm...three tickets, three people, that's one heli each to carry!!

You know, that's not such a bad idea, I was going to go in May, I could wait...

I downloaded the file and viewed it off line and had problems at first, it was more like a slide show all the sound was there but there were only about 20 frames of video through out the 5 minute run. Anyway a quick download of Windows media player 9 fixed it, now it works just fine. That was some pretty fancy flying, and I thought the camera man did a fantastic job! I think its just he video compression that makes it look bad.

I'm using Windows Media Player 9, but it was still jerky, but nothing like as bad as you describe. I think it has been over-compressed.

The flying in that video is great. The guilty of the video may not be that great but for Danny taking it with my cam coder he did a great job. If you seen some of the videos Danny has done you would know what I am talking about.

So what's not to like?

The flying was very good. The photography was O.K. (turn your autofocus off next time). Thanks for not covering the engine/blade sounds with music.

Later;

Good point, DW, can't stand those heli videos with music on. Anything with dubbed-on music is deleted straight away from my collection. I want to hear the heli, not some pop group!

nice vid.
Man, that kid is my age and already flies so good.
As a beginner, i really look up to him.

the video is a bit shaky, but you can at least hear
the heli and that makes it more real to me.

Is there any other way for me to view it???
