I would get the Raptor 50 v2. Those heli have a lot of power for a 50 heli. The part are the same price as the 30 v2. Same parts.

There are big differnces

The 50v2 has a new head design ( I put one on my Rappy V1 ). Also new Auto gear ( got one for my V1). Bigger tank, new pitch arm, and new main frames.
It's awsome for the price.( Went to Heli-Hut $330, ) P.S. us the N.H.P. 85 mm tail blades, the hold great. Better than the stock and the M.S. 90 mm

os 50

one thing i hate is that it drinks FUEL! too much little flying time i think i should get the TT50 not as much power but doesn't drink fuel as much as the os and reliable (from what i 've heard)

OS 50 vs TT 50... Power vs Cost

You said it you're self, what do you want. More Power or less fuel cost??
You can put a perry pump on the OS 50 and run 12% magnum from Rick's they sell in bulk. One gallon will end costing about 12 bucks gallon. But remember you will be running more fuel threw that type of set up( i.e. pump ).which will costing about 20.00 bucks in flight time. You can try running a Pump set up on TT 50???see if that will gives you more power, but once again. you'll be running more fuel threw. Which would be the same in cost??? as getting the OS50.
Also running the lower Nitro fuel's will also cut in the life of the motor, (i.e. pump is reconmended for lower %% fuels).
I get about 7 to 10 minutes, on the v2 it does come with a larger fuel tank and a header tank, which is part of V2 50 kit.
Like I said, it's up to the flier

R50 or Vigor CS

Or, you do what I do. you buy and build your Raptor 50. When you are comfortable with it, you put it up on RR for sale. Somebody will then offer to trade you for a Vigor CS, which you jump on right away. At least that's what happened to me. I had outgrown my rappy, and the other guy hadn't grown into his Vigor I guess.

Trevor

thanks again, Brian!

No crack here.

I just got done going through the tail (of my new vigor CS which I traded for my Rappy 50 with a ton of spare parts) thoroughly to be sure there were no problems. So far, the only thing I have found out of place was a thrust bearing on one side of the tail was in backwards. I reset the gear meshes, lubed everything, and will go through the head tomorrow, finish the radio install this week, and by saturday, I should be out test flying my Vigor CS.

I'm not sure how hold his wife is. He has a little girl, so I imagine his wife may not be too old, either. Who knows. Put your wife up for sale on RR and maybe he'll want to trade?

I still can't believe it myself. that Raptor was a nice one, but it's no Vigor. then again, when it crashes, it's no vigor either. I think that is why he wanted to part with it. Had crashed a couple of times, and it was digging deep into the wallet!
