I am installing the servo's on my Sceadu and it says "Install the noise filter between the rudder control servo and the receiver". What is the noise filter?

Thanks

It's a filter that's used between long servo leads and the receiver to prevent the servo leads from acting as an antenna and introducing RF energy into the back end of the receiver. If you don't use a servo extension you probably don't need one. Hope this helps.

I didn't install a filter on mine and it flies fine with no problems. Eric from Heliproz told me that it was not needed.

hope this helps

Airplane fliers use them on giant scale airplanes that have long servo leads all over them to prevent the servo leads from acting like antennas and getting RF energy into the demodulator section of the receiver. It can cause interference. Can't see where it would ever happen on our helis. Hope this helps.

FWIW....many members of our club have tried to use noise filters with disasterous results. We had all kinds of glitching with the filters installed. No one can figure out why....just check EVERYTHING well before you lift off.
