Well here is another problem with my raptor 50V1
When I do a forward, or side flip, the tail wags doing the flip, but not before or after. The tail moves around 3inch back and forth real fast.
I am using 401/9253, 17mm servohorn, 60size tail blade grips, 85mm carbon blades, tryed different brands. Everything is running smooth. I drilled out the guides, lubed the tail shaft, and there is no binding in the links!

ANY ideas are welcome.......

Try to have someone watch your fingers as you make your manuver. You may be inducing this without realizing it. Very common. Also make sure you have no mix turned on for your tail rotor. useing HH there should be zero offset applied thru the computer.

Could be too much throttle at zero pitch, head speed goes up and wags the tail.

Simmer:
It is not my fingers, when the heli was a 30, it didn´t have this problem.

TOSH:
I use a govenor, and I see the wag when the heli is in a nose down position.

The faster the tail moves through the air (in any direction) the more effective it is and the lower gain you need. Does it wag in fast forward or backward flight? (It may be hard to see.) Check for a constant headspeed, then try lowerering your gain a percent or 2. I had the same thing happening in funnels and the gain drop fixed it.

I can´t see the problem doing backwards flight, I tryed lowering the gain, by 10% but it didn´t help.
I have the gain set to 70% on the transmitter 9C, what is the value on the gyro???, and how do you calculate this value???

Just numbers, but if the numbers and the gyrogain has to be set to low, I might have a balancing problem.
Everyone seems to be able to run 60% gain, but what is this on the 9C´s display???

Thanks for the replys...keep them coming...

Sounds like you were right about that balancing problem.

I know nothing about the 9C. What channel is your gyro gain lead plugged into? A lot of guys use the gear channel, in which case the gain adjustment screen on a radio will do nothing... instead the gear channel ATV's will control the gain, one value for HH and one value for Normal.

Any sort of unsymetrical pitch inputs into the head while flipping will shake the model and gyro , upsetting the gyro
Have you got any unequal length control rods up near the head
Geo
And I thought longer blades and shorter servo arm were the go
