I wouldn't pay any sort of money for a TV these days, the programmes are so poor I never watch it! Maybe I can sell our TVs and scrape together a down payment on a turbine

I have satelitte and still think it is crap
I have something a little more modern and much much faster, but only English guys and maybe some European enthusiasts would know what it is
Is it a Lotus Esprit ?

Naomi, the only TV I'm interested in is the news and I get more and better news on line than I do from the TV. Can't see the point in spending money on a satellite dish that would be better spent on helis

Plasma TV

Peter,

That TV only goes for a paltry $7000 now, you can get the 60 inch for 14K! Worse than computers .

Does anyone know what Thunder Tiger is thinking in terms of pricing on their un-released turbine powerplant? I would think that you would see a fairly decent drop in price once the mainstream manufacturers start building their own powerplants.

Good Judgement comes from Experience. Great Judgement comes from Bad Experience.

I read your post and I thought Boy he's really full of himself . Then I saw your profile and remembered how I thought at the age of 25. Don't worry it will pass with age . When you get older you will see it does not matter how much it cost just that you want it . I want a ferrari right now , don't know if I will ever get one but I want it . ( must be the begining of my midlife crisis)One day I might also buy a turbine heli ,Not because of what it can do but because of what it is. Nothing like an engine reving to 80,000 rpm's.

TT Turbine

pilotError: TT has been developing there turbine for over 5 years now and they still don't have one in production. if you go to there Taiwan web site you can find info on the turbine. I don't think you will see it anytime soon if at all.

I believe I saw pricing about two years ago at $4,500.00 for the turbine only and you still have to acquire the electronics to go with it.

TT is behind the 8ball when it comes to turbine technology at this point.

With the rising value of the EURO I don't think you will see prices drop any lower then they are right now, in fact they are rising. The p-80 went up $200.00.

I think Gateway was doing a deal on the plasma TV's at $2900. That cheered me up no end.

My other car is a Lotus Carlton.

Its a 4 door sedan and they only made 700 of them. It comes stock with a twin turbo motor and 6 speed gearbox. 384 BHP and 184 MPH. Then I get my sticky fingers on it and turn it up to 500+HP and near 200MPH

Heres my babies

The Lotus Carlton is a bad, bad car.

I can testify that having ridden in that monstrous car of Peters that it really genuinely does go like absolute phuck...a seriously fast car.

Anytime you wanna sell it Pete, I'll be happy to pay in installments

Cheers, Will.
