I am trying this here and I hope it does not offend anyone. I am not getting any hits in the antiques section.

I am trying to restore a GMP Cobra. So...I am trying to find one radius arm. I also need a muffler for an Enya 49. Surely someone has something somewhere. If you do, and you can part with it, please let me know. I have checked all the usual websites an dthe GMP parts site that is usually referred, still no luck here. I would even be interested in a complete or partial Cobra. Thanks.

UPDATE:

I just found the complete washout set with two radius arms on a website. It was used and they only had one, but i got it ordered. I still need a muffler though. Thanks.

One Sad Heli

Wow, that looks worse than mine.

I stored my GMP Cobra in the attic 10 years ago - when I moved into this house - and finally pulled it down 4 weeks ago.
Lots of rust and caster oil crud. The trick will be to see if I can clean it up enough to fly it again.
I was thinking of converting it to electric - but I figure it would cost $400 to $600 - 1500w motor, big batteries, 100a ESC.

The stock rotor head had a lot of coning angle - but there was an upgrade to a more "competition" (GMP Competitor??) style head - flatter coning angle and and better response - does anyone know where I could find one of these?

The radius arm stay on the machine in the photograph appears to be present and rusty. The original ones were aluminum, the later ones steel.

There appears to have been a change in nomenclature as I have noted that, for example, Compass refers to the "A" arms on the washout control as "radius arms" which is inconsistant with old Hirobo/GMP.
