After upgrading my servos to 9451s for collective and cyclic on my Evo50 (mechanical mix), I get bouncy responses after stationary flips or rolls. Is this because of dampeners being too soft? I've never changed them (bought the heli used and put about 15 gallons thru her since I've owned it - this year).

Essentially, the heli won't sit still after a tight cyclic maneuver. It will 'bounce' around for .5 - 1 second after I release the sticks.

What's going on? I've been flying it this way for a while now. It doesn't affect the flying at all - just looks weird.

BTW: calm and sunny at 82 degrees outside today - gotta love Texas!

Try greasing your dampers before you try changing them out.

Check the bolts holding the plastic hub onto the top of the mast
When they come loose the head does wobble when you stop a move

Try the Infinivation dampeners. They seem to last forever.

The top of the head seems solid. I'll try the Infinivation dampeners. Thanks.

Jeff I think you changing the dampners will correct this problem. Let me know how it turns out.

The bouncy problem has been resolved.
I did two things:
1) replaced stock dampeners with the red Infinivation ones
2) The top of the head was loose. I had to tighten the four bolts that hold the plastic head on. I also had to tighten the bolt that holds the aluminum section to the main shaft. Those two loose pieces were causing some play in the head.

Glad everything was resolved. Another source of "bouncing" could be a broken/loose boom support clamp.

BTW, thanks for rubbing it in. It's a sweltering 34 degrees in Cleveland

I would replace that bolt.

That bolt broke on my Sceadu shortly after I re-tightened it. Made a mess of things.

Also, the inside of the center hub will get wallowed out from the main shaft over time. Replace the center hub if necessary.
