I'm considering the Spektrum module for the Futaba 9C. I can't tell from the website info how much is involved in swapping out the 72mHz antenna for the 2.4ghz antenna. My real question is, do I have to convert all my aircraft to 2.4 immediately, or can I swap back and forth between the spektrum module and the 72mhz module for a while? I know that puts extra wear on the module contacts, etc. and is not a great idea, but how much effort is involved in changing antennas? I don't want to have to replace my entire investment in receivers all at once.

that is a super question!!

I am getting a mini titan and thought about getting the 7 channel 2.4 module pack but leaving my evo 90 on the regular channel 52 module and just swapping back and forth on my 9c as well!!

at this point in time it's just to expensive to convert all the stuff just like you said.

It depends how you do things. If you mount the new antenna the way they want to do it, then it's not the easiest way. Fir you cut some foam or rubber or something that will hold the 2.4Ghz antenna on top of you collapsed 72Mhz antenna, then it would be extremely easy.

Alternate method would be to buy a 2.4Ghz antenna with an RP-SMA connector and 2.2db gain. Screw it on the back of the module and fly.
